Thought I would spend some time this morning going over some Florida statistics…..YES I know you don’t want to hear it and just want it to go away. The HOAX crowd is full steam ahead and the anti-mask “because you’re violating my Constitutional rights” crowd are falling over themselves to see who can infect their Grandparents first. BUT unfortunately the news and data are BEYOND DISTURBING. I’m going to try and dispell some of the Covid myths this morning. First of all…..let’s look at the number of NEW cases over the last few weeks. Lots of people want to believe that the increase numbers are just because of increased testing and that a lot of people are testing positive that were ASYMPTOMATIC. YES some of them were….BUT we also now seem to know that when you’re asymptomatic, you’re not as likely to be transmitting the virus…..which means SICK PEOPLE are out there infecting people! The positive test rate is at 20% in some areas! MUCH higher than it was 4 weeks ago when it was about 5%. Look at this graph:
As you can see the increase is EXPONENTIAL…….nearly 20 times higher than any previous time and still climbing. Even if the rate were to slow we’re looking at anther 100,000 cases over the next weeks….That’s IF the rate were to flatten to 10,000/day and not continue to climb. Let’s look at the next graph which shows HOSPITALIZATIONS. I see lots of “COVID IS FAKE” people saying “well if the numbers are so high why are the hospitals empty???” Of course they say this with no real data.
Have a look at THAT. Just about right that the hospitalizations are lagging the onset of illness about 10-14 days. Initially with Covid you just feel like normal flu……but then around day 10 the virus releases a tidal wave of what I’ll call for simplicity here “poison” that then can destroy your lungs, kidneys, cardiac muscle and in some cases even cause neurological problems. These are the people that end up in ICU’s, of ventilators and in MOST instances DEAD. That leads us to this last chart showing MORTALITY RATES. The naysayers want to tell us that COVID is made up and nobody is really dying from it anymore. Take a look and then I’ll point something out.
Obviously the number of deaths is trending up at a steep rate, but it is JUST NOW starting to really climb from the people that first got sick 3 WEEKS or so ago. Go back now and look at the number of cases/day 3 weeks ago……The daily NEW CASES rate was about 1500/day……..and NOW those people are dying. NOW we’re up to 10,000 cases a day for the last week. That’s nearly 7 times as many cases which MAY become 7 times as many hospitalizations over the next 2-3 weeks and then 7 TIMES AS MANY DEATHS in 3-4 weeks! The numbers don’t lie……they are NOT A HOAX. Take this seriously and stop the amount of partying I see going on……..people hugging, large crowds, young people who don’t give a S _ _T and WILL bring this home to Grandma. I hate it too……we all do……but I believe we are on about mile #4 of a 26 mile marathon. Feel free to tell me where I’m wrong. Have a safe day!

OK… “MAY”… what about maybe not?
Cases went from 1500 up to 10,000. Deaths are trending at the same level as mid May, when cases were around 1400. That does square up?
What if the cases are just truly because of more testing, and that’s it? What if there were the SAME number of cases in mid May, but since they WEREN’T being tested, they were unknown?
If it’s as deadly as you want people to think, shouldn’t deaths have climbed equal to new cases, and NOT trending the same as May?
The death rate is on the rise, pretty much pacing the new case rate…..perhaps a multiple less due to asymptomatic tests. BUT there’s no shortage of people to infect at this point. I think focusing on the MORTALITY rate of this disease is missing the forest for the trees when the truly ignored topic is the MORBIDITY involved with getting it!!!

NCF Diagnostics has a location in Alachua, which reported 88 percent of tests coming back positive and 98 percent for Orlando Health.”

Hmmm, aren’t the Feds paying for the Covid positive treatments?
Now this is interesting. The CDC is stating that they believe that positive cases are TEN times what the actual reported infections are. So if you take the total official reported cases in FL, and multiply by at least Ten, what number do you have?

I know infections are tough to track, considering the number of asymptomatic, but if infections are Ten times what’s reported, what does this do to hospitalization and death numbers? Percentage wise, makes Covid not as scary and deadly, right?
Hospitalizations are easy to count, there’s a body in the bed. Deaths, the same thing, dead bodies don’t move…
What if the infections are TWENTY times what’s tested/reported?
Read tomorrow’s post. The problem is that EVERYONE is just focusing on case rate and mortality rate. You STILL don’t want to get this when you look at the long term effects on heart, kidneys and neurologically! BTW I think the CDC number is too high but what MIGHT be the number as more and more contract it. Florida Gov. did NOTHING today to slow it up. Hang on Sally!
