About Me

I’ve thought about having a blog for several years now. I’ve been a physician for 36 years and recently semi-retired. My medical career is a long and interesting tale all on its own. I attended St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and then completed my studies at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn. I was chief resident at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ completing a residency in Family Medicine. I’ve been a jail physician, ER doc, family doc, did pharmaceutical research, sports medicine team physician and finally started the largest house call ONLY geriatric medical practice in the U.S. I became an expert in chronic disease management, hospice and palliative care. I sold the practice in 2017 and came to Florida. During all of this I also have Del Boca Aesthetics for Botox/Dysport/fillers done IN your home, play drums in a band, The Rock Doctors, avidly boat and during this pandemic I’ve started painting and creating art again and spend my days building decks and fences and gates around the home I’ve renovated with my partner in life, the lovely Denise de Marco. I hope you enjoy this blog but also hope you find it aggravating, thought provoking, irritating, informative and utilize it as YOUR ICU. We’ll discuss life, politics, medicine, cooking, nutrition, movies, music, boating and wherever else it takes us. I look forward to interesting civil conversation the likes of which has mostly disappeared from Anti-Social Media. Stay well and healthy and here we go!
