Can You Still Feel Fatigue 6 Months After The Covid Vaccine?

Lots has been written about immediate side effects of the Covid vaccines. The most typical symptoms usually after the 2nd shot in the case of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines is soreness at the injection site, low grade fever and FATIGUE usually lasting less than a few days. There have also been some more rare problems like blood clots and probably even death in some instances. BUT not a lot has been written about any side effects 6 months later.

Today it’s been nearly 6 months since I had the Pfizer vaccine and time for a look back. I tried to do some research on the topic and found very little. Probably because no one is asking the question YET. We’re all just thankful to be out without a mask at this point acting like Covid never existed! I’d love to get some feedback from all of you about anything different you might be experiencing since getting the vaccine.

Personally I’ve noticed that I’m MUCH more fatigued. I literally sometimes will look at the clock at 8:30 in the evening and say to the lovely Denise “you think it’s too early for bed?” LOL…….and I mean to go to SLEEP!! I usually get 8 hours of sleep but notice that I just really never feel fully rested. At first I thought it was from being somewhat more sedentary during lockdown and spending most of the time at home. I had been going to spin classes during the Fall and felt pretty fit. Then I got the vaccine in January and started playing pickleball outside. I documented my vaccine experience on here and it was pretty much a little soreness on shot #1, but about 36 hours of achiness, fatigue, low grade fever and chills after shot #2. Not much else except being VERY happy that I could lose the mask and start living normally here in Florida thanks to Governor Ron DiSantis!

Well as I said today is around the 6 month mark and I just don’t have the energy I used to have. Maybe I’m just a year older LOL. Some other things I’ve heard from some patients is that they are getting minor nagging symptoms. Low grade sore throats, clogged ears and sinuses, headaches, restless sleep with weird dreams and even some with flare-ups of previous shingles which HAS been reported in the literature.

Here’s MY THEORY of what could be going on. I think people’s immune systems were pretty much put on “standby” because of lockdowns and lack of exposure to low grade things like common colds and sore throats. Kids weren’t in school so they weren’t bringing home all the common bugs they usually were and their parents didn’t get the “sniffles” for a couple day like they would have. THEN along comes a new “vaccine” that just may be TOO SUCCESSFUL at making Covid antibodies. Maybe your immune system was woken by a stick of dynamite instead of just gradually waking. BAM! It kicks into high pumping out antibodies to Covid thinking it’s a dirty bomb that went off! Then it pretty much only makes antibodies to Covid to the exclusion of all the other minor things it usually would. Thus the nagging cold symptoms, rashes, etc. Your immune system uses up a HUGE amount of energy on a daily basis compared to other organs like your liver and stomach. We know that children in countries with a lot of parasitic infections have trouble with nutrition because of the high energy consumption by their immune system tackling that problem.

I can’t substantiate this theory beyond it being simply that, a theory for right now. To me, the good news is that the likely need for a Covid booster tells me that eventually our immune system gets over feeling like it has to concentrate on PRIMARILY making Covid antibodies. I’m hoping that along with lots of Vitamin C, zinc and other nutritional supplements as well as paying better attention to diet this fatigue will pass. Our bodies are pretty amazing at healing if you treat it right.

Covid Booster????

As for a Covid booster? I WILL NOT be getting one soon. I intend to monitor antibody levels in about another 6 months and keep an eye on further findings post-vaccine. I don’t regret getting the Covid vaccine, but I AM concerned. I had wanted to wait awhile but the vaccine won the risk vs. benefit debate. I still don’t think children under 18 need it and women of child bearing age should also consider carefully. Please let me know your experience several months out from getting vaccinated. I’ll keep you posted and thank you for reading. Please feel free to share!

Be well….enjoy yourself….It’s later than you think!!

  1. The poorly powered clinical trials for the Covid shots show the ARR of .07% – 1.2% should be enough for no one to get the shots, which are not vaccines and are bioweapons. There are many more reasons not to ever get any of these shots. However, for any HCP who understands ARR, those numbers and the fact the studies are designed merely for symptom reduction should be enough reason to not get the shot and to provide proper informed consent to all their patients.

    1. ARR “will always appear low” as it depends on the event rate.RRR is the “usual scale” considered by the medical community when talking about vaccine efficacy.Because the ARR is a much lower number, it feels like it is saying that the other number RRR isn’t true,” but this is not accurate, they are both capturing some aspect of reality, just measuring it in a different way. RRR was 95% for Pfizer.

      1. I have worked in Pharma for 20 years. RRR is an accurate number based upon what it’s measuring. However, ARR is a more accurate representation of statistical significance. In addition, the 95% RRR referenced for the Pfizer/BioNTech shot is for symptom reduction out of a Phase 1 60 patient clinical trial and all “placebo” patients were switched to the active comparator during the trial. It was neither a well-controlled nor well-powered trial. Plus, there is an overall 99.97% survival rate for Covid-19. Why take an injection to protect against anything with an overall 99.97% survival rate? Also, the studies look solely at symptom reduction, not at infection or transmission. On another note, the documentation for consent for the Phase 1 and 2 trials with Pfizer/BioNTech recommend men to freeze sperm prior to the first injection and to abstain from sexual interactions for at least 7 weeks post injection. This is one example of many negative impacts of the RNA and DNA shots. Multiple studies, including a major publication from the Salk Institute, outline the numerous adverse events from the shots as a result of the S1 Spike protein, not to mention the adverse reactions from the genetically engineered mRNA (modified – not messenger- RNA per the manufacturer’s data) and the nanolipid particles. There is no legitimate, scientific reason to get any of these shots.

        1. Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I appreciate the civility. My specific risk is rather high thus my risk benefit decision for myself. I always simply try and present good, clear information in an unbiased fashion to help others make their own decision. I am neither pro or con vaccine. It’s a tool that will hopefully become more refined as time goes on. The first phase II anti-cancer mRNA vaccines are just NOW starting to be administered. At least we are guinea pigs for the greater good! Thanks again and keep reading!! Jon

  2. I took the J&J jab. 13 days ago. My arm still hurts like hell. I have a persistent nagging headache, my whole body aches, and no matter how long I sleep, I never feel rested. I get extremely fatigued doing simple housework. I take immune boosting supplements- mvi, potassium, magnesium, vit d, zinc, as well as eating healthy and being outside in fresh air and sunshine. I hope I did not make an error by taking this.

  3. After 6 months from his second shot, My dad out of nowhere got a patch of shingles on his arm. Was not itchy or painful. Doctors seemed very puzzled.

    1. Typical sign of immune compromise can be re-activation of the Herpes zoster virus more commonly known as shingles!!Hope he’s feeling better!! Makes me cautious about getting the shingles vaccine now!!!
